Course content
Fundaments of mathematical cartography and theories of projection of the earth curvature to the plain will be explained. Especially the cartographic projections applied for the maps of our state territory will be describe through the historical evolution. Cartographic and coordinates systems used for ČR will be explained, both for the civil and military maps. Graphical elaboration and map compilation, also printing technologies will be described. The State map series consist of map sheets showing seamlessly the territory of the Czech Republic, processed according to common standards, and published by the State Authority in public interest.

Learning outcomes
It is the aim of the course to give the entire overlook of the cartography and the State map series.
The student is familiar with the available state map works and their content.
Prerequisites
Basics of mathematics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Test

Credit requirements: Attendance at seminars, submission of assignments, credit test. Test requirement: Written exam, oral part of the exam.
