Course content
Detection of business opportunities and their evaluation from the point of view of area, industry, etc. Evaluation and transformation of opportunities, Choice of business subject, target group, Business plan Financing options, sources of capital, Business incubators Project description Legal requisites of the project, legal forms of business, intellectual property Product, business policy, marketing plan, sales estimates Production process, production costs, investment plan, human resources plan Sources of financing, financial plan, financial statements Plans for further development of the company

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)
  • Preparation for classes - 60 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 16 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 50 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to teach students how to identify business opportunities and choose the one most appropriate for the area and further processed as a business plan. Students will acquire the skills of setting up a start-up firm, its further development in small and medium-sized businesses. Furthermore, the ability to prepare the bases for the economic activities of SMEs. Students will be able to evaluate and compare entrepreneurial opportunities, including the ways of their realization.
The student is familiar with the issues of SMEs

Assessment methods and criteria
Test

Credit requirements: Active participation in seminars (max. 2 absences), seminar work in the min. 15 pages (in pair of students) and presentation (presentation itself 10 minutes + 10 minutes of discussion). Requirements for the test: written test from the theory (multiple choice).
