Course content
Introduction of theme, historical development, landscape development stages. Landscape stability, landscape conditions elements and their position and function in anthropoecological system. Landscape revitalization, scattered vegetation, environmental actions in landscape, water regime, rural road system as the important architecture element, transport processes and protection from erosion, hydrological cycles and sedimentation processes, amelioration as important landscape disposals, hydraulic engineering projects in landscape, protection against outland waters and flood control, agricultural landscape and its architecture, agroecosystems and its position in sustainable multifunctional agriculture, territorial systems of ecological stability, space and functional landscape management. Exercises: Work on a project in which students learn how to find information, work with WMS connections, and deepen work in ArcGIS. Creating thematic maps. Landscape analysis and its evaluation.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this subject is presentation and gaining of basic theoretical knowledge from the field of landscape engineering as the system of technical and biotechnical disposal in landscape in context of sustainable development of rural areas including the multifunctional agriculture.
Studen will be able to project landscape related measures to increase the ecological stability and biodiversity of the landscape.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of landscape ecology, geography and history of Czech landscape development.
