Course content
1. Money - history. 2. Money - cash and cashless forms of money, payment methods - making payments in domestic and foreign currency. 3. Price - generation of a price (VAT, excise). 4. Household management - household budget, types of budgets, their differences. 5. Wage, salary - brutto, netto. 6. Simple interest, compound interest. Inflation. 7. Current accounts. Banking facilities. 8. Savings. Savings account. Building saving. 9. Term deposits. Government saving bonds. 10. Consumer credits - banking, non - banking. 11. Credit cards. Hire-purchase companies. 12. Mortgage credits (classical, American mortgage). 13. Insurance. 14. Financial planning.

Learning outcomes
The objective of the subject is to provide students with the basic knowledge of the field of finance enabling them to settle situations of common life, e.g. management of cash and non-cash money as well as related transactions and management of the instruments designed for this purpose (current account, payment instruments...), management of financial assets (e.g. deposits, investment and insurance) and liabilities (e.g. credits or leasing).
Student competences after graduation of the subject result especially from the aims of the subject and the content of the subject.
