Course content
The week lasting workshop offers their participants lectures and presentations about new findings in mathematics as well as topics which are neglected in the other departmental courses of mathematics.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Work activities (workshops), Activating (simulations, games, drama)
  • Preparation for credit - 40 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Weekly seminar combines lectures and presentations mostly focused on some new knowledge from mathematics that do not find their place in standard university courses.
Ability to present given mathematical topics and to elaborate an abstract of a contribution for the proceedings issued in the workshop.
Prerequisites
Mathematical knowledge and skills at the upper secondary level.
