Course content
Models, their classification and creation. Verification of models correctness. Discrete, continuous and combined models, types of models, usefulness of models, verification of models credibility. Numerical methods used in simulation of discrete systems (Monte Carlo model, accuracy and variance). Discrete systems (discrete system description, model creation), mass service systems.

Learning outcomes
The course offers the theoretical base of modern methods of probability theory and statistical data analysis. In more special parts of the theory, the student will be introduced into advanced methods of data evaluation and stochastic modelling including the modern software systems utilization.
Students are able to use advanced methods of data processing and stochastic modelling including the utilisation of the most up-to-date computing systems.

Combined exam

Active command of the studied field and an individual solving of an assessed problem on PC.
