Course content
1) Statement of an objective of the dissertation and prediction of its outcomes. 2) Justification of the dissertation topic. It should fit the present-day trends in education. 3) An initial statement of the scientific matter of the work. 4) Introduction to a present state of solution of the stated problem. 5) Theoretical background.

Learning outcomes
The target is to finish the first phase, mainly called the theoretical phase, of work on a dissertation. It should contain these steps: (a) Statement of an objective of the dissertation and prediction of its outcomes. (b) Justification of the dissertation topic. It should fit the present-day trends in education. (c) An initial statement of the scientific matter of the work. (d) Introduction to a present state of solution of the stated problem. (e) Theoretical background. The items (d) and (e) are objects of concern of the subject Theory of education in mathematics - selected chapters.
A graduate is theoretically prepared to work on her dissertation.

To process the first - theoretical part of dissertation. Presentation at a summer school.
