Course content
1. History of research in didactic of mathematics (lecture) 2. How to continue in elaboration of literature recherché (workshop) 3. Individual work 4. Individual consultation in the process of essay elaboration 5. Final colloquium

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Written action (comprehensive tests, clauses)
Learning outcomes
The students obtain an overview on the state and art of the research in didactics of mathematics in chosen field of study. According to the intended aim of their thesis the students elaborate the theoretical background of their research.
To acquire knowledge to orient in the literature to the given theme. To summarize existing research results. To compare research questions from the point of view of own intended research.

pasive knowledge of English

Assessment methods and criteria
Essay, Analysis of student's language skills, Colloquium

Study summarizing existing research results in the field related to the theme of intended research (4000 - 5000 words). Presentation in the workshop.
