  • Class attendance - 33 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course aims at providing understanding of general and organism-specific molecular mechanisms of developmental processes in multicellular organisms

Prerequisites
unspecified

Assessment methods and criteria
unspecified
Requirements on student: 1. Student presentation (10 min) in the form of journal club: presentation of recent influential findings in developmental biology of selected (model) organism. 2. Exam: Oral or short answer written (min. 50 %).
Recommended literature
  • "Developmental Biology" by Scott Gilbert et al..
  • For presentation ("journal club"), students will choose original research articles in combination with review articles published within the last 5 years.
  • "Molecular Biology of the Cell" by Alberts et al..
  • "Molecular Cell Biology" by Lodish et al..
  • "Molecular Life of Plants" by Russel Jones et al..
