Course content
Content of lectures: Data structure and their visualisation, random variable, discrete and continuous distributions, special distributions, basic descriptive statistics, the principle of statistical testing, chi-square test, t-tests, ANOVA

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Demonstration

Learning outcomes
The course presents the introduction to the basic statistic methods. Students will solve individually the examples related to the lectures with Statistica program. The interpretation of results will be accentuated. The students will use these statistical methods for individual analysis of their measured data.
Student will learn how to work with: data structure and their visualisation distributions special distributions basic descriptive statistics the principle of statistical testing chi-square test t-tests ANOVA
Benefit is logical and mathematical thinking.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

To pass exam is needed to obtain at least 70% points in combined test (solve math problems, oral exam).
