    | Content of lectures: 1.   General issues: : interaction  microorganism - macroorganism and infectious disease           Basic pathogenesis. Symptom, syndrome, disease. Diagnosis of infection.  2.   Therapy of  infectious disease:  chemotherapy and complex care of  patient  3.    Infections of skin and skin symptoms of general infections 4.    Infections of digestive system 5.   Infections of liver 6.    Infections of kidney and urinary tract 7.    Infections of respiratory system and tuberculosis 8.    Infections of central nervous system 9.    Infections of heart and vessels 10.  Infections of bone and  joint 11.  Sepsis 12.  HIV/AIDS 13.  Selected parasitic diseases 14.  Infection in special groups of patients (immunodeficiency, polymorbidity,         malnutrition, aged patient, gravidity, with foreign body)

            | Learning outcomes | 
        
            | Human infectious diseases - information for laboratory worker : clinical picture, differencial diagnosis and basic treatment of infections. Special accent on different points of view of laboratory and clinical worker, dialogue and cooperation between them on sampling, processing and interpretation of biological material leading to targeted antimicrobial therapy. Student will understand the progress of infection in human body. Student will be able to orientate in different types of infections and their treatments.

 To pass an exam and comprehend the knowledge from lectures. 2 questions are drawn and must be answered at at least 70%
