Assessment methods and criteria
Systematic student observation

Students complete a practical training in the laboratory of clinical biochemistry or histopathology or microbiology or immunology, cytogenetics and similar fields. The focus of the departments where the student completes Biomedical Laboratory Practice and Clinical Laboratory Practice I must be different. It is possible to complete both internships in the same institution, but not in the same department! It is also possible to do the internship in another EU country. Each student is required to arrange an internship contract + insurance no later than the 1st month prior to the start of the internship. First of all, you have to ask the Dean's Office of the Faculty for a contract, preferably by email (Ms. Hana Sýkorová - hsykorova@prf.jcu.cz, 387776201). Afterwards, you have to send the completed contract back to Ms. Sýkorová (the necessary information will be marked). The Student Office will generate a QR code on the student's ISTAG account, through which the insurance can be paid. The insurance will be arranged again by Ms. Sykorova after payment. Once the fee is paid, the student will automatically be insured.
