Course content
Lectures: 1 - introduction, basic terminology; 2 - HTML, SGML structure; 3 - PHP programming language; 4 - JavaScript and SQL programming languages; 5 - even typesetting; 6 - mixed typesetting; 7 - paragraph typesetting; 8 - paragraph segmenting; 9 - publication editing; 10 - typesetting order and tables; 11 - inserting images, floating interface; 12 - mathematical formula typesetting; 13 - numeration; 14 -ducumet editing technology; Seminars: 1 - WWW page with JavaScript; 2 - dynamic spage in PHP; 3 - communicating with SQL server; 4 - basic structure and document division; 5 - text formatting; 6 - environment; 6 - tables; 7 - floating environment; 8 - inserting images; 9 - content and registers creation; 10 - numeration mechanism; 11 - mathematical formula typesetting; 12 - extending suite; 13 - special symbols; 14 - PDF generating and document authomatization;

Learning outcomes
In this subject, students will learn the opportunities of publishing with computer aid. Basic typography rules (science document publishing) will be explained. Furthermore, they will learn about internet and E-mail publishing. They will also understand the basics of HTML, PHP and JavaScript programming languages and there will be an introduction into dynamic WWW pages. The basics of network SQL databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) are also the subject matter. Typesetter system TeX focusing on the superstructure LaTeX will be practised. The method philosophy of working with this system and process of preparing mathematical texts will be explained
Students understand basic principles of typography, they can solve practical tasks in typesetting, publish on the Internet, are capable of creating a dynamic WWW website and work with the typesetter program LaTeX on user's level.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Test

Credit Requirements: Presentation of two projects (6 parts), credit exam. Global success rate minimally 65%. Examination Requirements: Students will demonstrate complex knowledge of publication with comupuer aid. The total note will be given on the base of credit test and exam results.
