Course content
1. Introduction into information systems in a company 2. Methods of information system analysis and using of SW tools 3. Methods for proposal and development of information systems, methods of processes simulation 4. Computer aided engineering and reengineering 5. Information system project, implementation, performance, maintenance and development of information systems 6. Overview of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and their functionalities 7. CRM and SCM systems 8. Information support of documentation management, workflow 9. Decision support systems 10. BI - business inteligence 11. Application architecture of business information systems - overview 12. Analyses of business information systems market, development trends Seminars: 1. Introduction into information systems - practical illustration 2. Analyse of processes and goals in company 3. Building of process map 4. Standards and notation of process analyse - Process chart - IDEF3 - BPM 5. Modelling of processes and their simulation 6. Support of integration of application 7. Documentation of information system 8. IS/ICT architecture 9. Analysis of IS/ICT market, development trends 10. Presentation of a semester project

Learning outcomes
The course provides information on the development, design and implementation of enterprise information systems in different parts of their life cycle. It gives an overview of the current IT/ICT systems and their structures, the elements of a solutions, systems for the support of top management decision (EIS), APS systems, knowledge systems - BI)
Students will obtain basic skills and knowledge in the analysis, design and implementation of information systems. Students will be able to co-ordinate activities when implementing information systems in companies. Students will obtain an overview of information systems on the market and its functionalities.
Prerequisites
The course of Programming (KMI/ZPG) is a pre requisite for this course.
