1 - database systems 2 - relational database 3 - main data types 4 - tables 5 - inporting data 6- relations and their types 7 - selective queries 8 - action queries 9 - forms 10 -printing 11 - SQL database language 12 - SQL implementation and basic commands 13 - cooperations with other programs Seminars 1 - introduction to the course, assignments; basic terminology 2 - database system types, main tasks of database 3 - normalisation, norm types 4 - main data types and their use 5 - import and export of data 6 - seminary work assignment 7 - relations between tables 8 - selective queries 9 - action queries 10 - sums and cross queries 11 - forms and printings 12 - base of SQL 13 - SQL queries including agregation

Learning outcomes
The main objective is to teach students to work with database systems. Students can use this software in the preparation of seminary works and theses, and for analyses in other courses. Subject teaching includes MS Access and SQL language in the application of firm management.
Students understand the basic terminology and obtain skills in database systems.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of student's work activities (technical works), Combined exam, Seminar work

Credit Requirements: Obtaining at least 8 points out of 12 in one credit test and one seminary work. Seminary work is for 6 points, credit test is for 6 points too. Examination Requirements: Theoretical exam concerned with lectures. The final mark is based on the results of the credit test, seminary work and the final examination. The course is supported with LMS Moodle.
