Course content
Lectures: 1. Introduction to enterprise information systems; 2. Introduction to Enterprise Information Systems (EIS); EIS architecture; 3. Building enterprise information systems, lifecycle, ways to acquire EIS; 4. ERP-Enterprise Resource Planning; system description and what activities it provides, Major ERP systems manufacturers; 5. Using PIS to manage the economic process, HRM, asset management and critical asset management; 6. Use of PIS for the management of the economic process - logistics, sales, CRM; 7. Information support for the creation and management of documentation, workflow. CMS; 8. System integration, basic concepts and approaches; 9. IS / ICT Application Architectures, ERP Branch Solutions, External Relations Management Applications, E-Business Support; 10. Business IS market analyzes, development trends; 11. Security in information systems; 12. Management of business informatics operations, IS standards; 13. Business IS market analyzes, development trends.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)

Learning outcomes
The course provides information on the development, design and implementation of enterprise information systems in different parts of their life cycle. It gives an overview of the current IT/ICT systems and their structures, the elements of a solutions, systems for the support of top management decision (EIS), APS systems, knowledge systems - BI)
Students will obtain basic skills and knowledge in the analysis, design and implementation of information systems. Students will be able to co-ordinate activities when implementing information systems in companies. Students will obtain an overview of information systems on the market and its functionalities.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of terms within the scope of the subject of Managerial Informatics is assumed.
