Course content
1. Definition of language resources and their role in foreign language teaching - summary of knowledge from the discipline Introduction to pedagogical practice III and IV. Objectives of teaching German at elementary schools 2. Grammar as a language tool in teaching German - definition of basic concepts, 3. Methods of grammar presentation - deductive x inductive procedure 4. Progress of grammar curriculum, grammar curriculum in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages - level A1 - B1, working with errors 5. Typology and creation of grammar exercises, analysis of textbooks 6. - 8. Intercultural communication competences - definition of basic concepts, the role of the teacher and the role of the student, intercultural standards, cross-sectional topics in teaching German 9. - 10. Project teaching, its goals, planning, phases, final products 11. - 13. Specific learning disabilities and their manifestations in teaching German, support measures, individualization and differentiation of teaching, typology of exercises

Learning outcomes
Didactics of German I follows onwards the Didactics of Didactics I and II, which the students completed in the third year of their bachelor's studies. The aim of the course is to acquire basic didactic theoretical knowledge and to acquire methodological and didactic competence for foreign language teaching in the field of grammar with regards to the target group of elementary school students. Emphasis is also placed on issues related to the development of intercultural communication competence and project teaching. At the end of the course, attention will be focused on the issue of teaching German to pupils with special educational needs.
At the end of this course, students and students are able to practise German grammar, identify, correct and evaluate pupils' errors, according to their age. Furthermore, they are able to meaningfully develop pupils' intercultural communication competences, they can sensitise pupils for dealing with "foreign" cultures, plan and implement project teaching. He knows how to teach pupils with specific educational needs, he knows how to find and apply appropriate teaching strategies.

Active participation in seminars, continuous elaboration of assigned tasks, elaboration of seminar work. Knowledge verification is held in German.
