Course content
1. Text and text competence, reading literacy in German at the level A1 - A2 according to SERR and Profile Deutsch 2. - 3. Didactic principles of working with text with regard to the chosen goal of teaching 4. - 6. Work with literary text in teaching German 7. - 8. Dramatization of a text 9. Work with dramatic text 10. Text as a starting point for listening comprehension 11. Text as a starting point for speaking practice 12. Text as a starting point for writing practice - especially creative writing 13. Text as a starting point for reading comprehension - reading strategy 14. Text as a starting point for practicing prompt reactions in various communication situations

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
In the center of attention is the (literary) text as a starting point for practicing language skills - listening comprehension, speaking, writing - especially creative writing and reading comprehension. In the case of literary texts, attention is also focused on their aesthetic functions. The aim of the course is to teach students to select texts suitable for teaching at the 1st and 2nd grade of elementary school and to teach them with regard to the chosen goals of teaching. Dramatization of non-dramatic texts and work with originally dramatic texts are also an integral part of the course. The seminars are held in German.
Orientation in German literature for children and youth, ability to work with text in teaching German as a second, respectively foreign language.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of German language at B2 level.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment

Consultations and credit take place in German. Proposal for didactization of the selected text to the chosen intention.
