Learning outcomes
The discipline provides an overview of the theory of a textbook as a didactics media; it deals with function models and models of structure of German language textbooks for grades 5-9 of elementary school, based on the newest findings in the textbook research abroad. Main focus is on analysis of education syllabi concurring the didactics education. Students will familiarize with specific approaches and techniques for analysis and evaluation of textbooks: e.g. methods for measuring their didactic equipment, methods for identification of "European dimension" elements in textbooks, methods for international comparative analysis of textbooks etc.
After passing this discipline the student will be able to orientate himself in German as a 1st and 2nd language teaching syllabi that are currently offered on our market, to create their own opinion and decide for the most suitable textbook based on the end-group of pupils.

Seminar work

All examinations and consultations are held in German. Active participation at seminars, through elaboration of given tasks, elaboration of seminary work.
