Learning outcomes
The students will obtain basic knowledge about the German speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxemburg and Liechtenstein). They will concentrate on geography, culture and politics. During their own preparation for the lessons the students learn to search for reliable printed and electronic sources. They will learn to handle the sources critically.
The students will acquire an overview on the subject and necessary factual overview (especially on general information, federalism, economy, politics, culture). They will get enough information about actual information sources, they will learn to search and to analyse them (e.g. important daily papers and journals, official press releases, internet sources etc.). This competence is - with regard to changeability from e.g. politics and culture - fundamental.

Oral examination

All examinations and consultations are held in German. oral presentation (written form is to handover)
