Course content
Lectures: 1. The importance and condition of transport in economy, history and development of transport. Internal transport division. 2. Tourism and its connection to transport. Disciplines of science concerned with transport. 3. Basic transport terminology, the origin and history of transport. 4. Transport divisions and their usage in tourism. 5. Transport networks and their development in tourism. 6. Enterprise within transport, marketing in transport, transport conditions and tariffs, a transport company. 7. Traffic - an important part of tourism, road networks in the Czech Republic and Europe, road charges in chosen European countries, regular and irregular personal transport. 8. Transport documents and international rules in traffic. Operative management of automobile transport. Dispatcher's management in transport. 9. Price calculation in coach transport. Tracing in coach transport. 10. Personal railway transport, the importance of railway transport in tourism, the railway network in the CR and Europe, terminology. 11. Tracing in railway transport, railway equipment, booking systems, transport documentation, calculation of fares, graphics of railway transport. 12. Aircraft transport - the importance of conditions in the economy and in tourism, sorts of flight, airports, terminals, transport of people, tariffs, flight order, transport documents, booking systems. 13. Passenger shipping, its usage in tourism, rivers, marine cruise, ferries. 14. Transport and environment. Seminars: 1. The issue of transport infrastructure financing. 2. Transport and travelling - statistical view. 3. Česmad - Bohemia, characteristics, roles, targets. 4. Busportal - characteristics, the insurance company DAS. 5. The International Road Transport Union - IRU. 6. Ecological Euro Norms - EURO 0, 1. 2, 3... 7. The issue of road transport in villages - its introduction, solutions, own topics. 8. Social-psychological aspects of transport and the question of accidents happening. 9. International Association of Coach Tourism - RDA. 10. Problems of international contracts breaching in the field of coach transport. 11. Coach transport and the entrance of CR into EU (comparison with other fields of transport). 12. Booking and purchase of air tickets, car hiring online. 13. The system of hiring companies in the Czech Republic and world.

Learning outcomes
Goal of subject is broadered knowlege of topic of circulation and transport process, of national and international trafic and of strategic a and conceptual activities in organizations of trafic. Development and organization of trafic sector. Analysis of trafic sector and its connection on makro sector. Relationship between trafic fiel, systems of personal trafic. Current state and relevant parameter of trafic infrastructure in Czech Republic. Costs of trafic sector. Costs of trafic infrastructure and specifics of their payment. Trafic projects, their imapcts, measure and evaluation. Rating of specific efects of trafic infrastructure. Trafic politics and regulation of trafic sector. Energetic aspects of trafic politics. Ecological aspects of trafic politics, trafic accidents. Trafic politics of EU, harmanization of conditions for particular activitie of trafic sectors.
Students will understand basic principles of transport applied to tourism; are able to compare different sorts of transport; will be able to devise a travel itinerary, calculate costs of transport, and expand their competence in transport literacy.

Oral examination, Test

Credit Requirements: Active and creative work within seminars, presentation of a chosen topic in seminars and its working out in proper form. Exam Requirements: Successful completion of a written test, natural orientation within a chosen problem and its understanding during an oral exam.
