Course content
Lectures: - Introduction to Spa and Wellness basic therminology. History of Spa and Wellness. - Legislative and other cunducts for providing Spa and Wellness facilities. - Aspects of spa care and economic impact on regional economy. Importance of associations and cooperation in Spa and Wellness sector. - Management of Spa facility. - Wellness as a healty life style in relations to the tourism. - Wellness services and wellness facility. Management of Wellness facility. - Marketing of Spa and Wellness services. Market of Spa nad Wellness services. - Spa nad Wellness as a product of destinations. Importance of Spa and Wellness for choosen target segments of customer. - Climatic Spa (Green Spa) and new trends in Spa and Wellness. Seminars: - Introduction. Requirements to absolvate. Basic therminology. - Managemetn of Spa facility. - Presentations of Europe and world spa destiantion. - Closing seminar. Summury and evaluation of course.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is clarifying the importance of spa and wellness in tourism and professional preparation of students for a future work in the branch of spa and wellness services.
Student should absolvate courses CR1 before this course.
Prerequisites
Studenty could have to know basics of subject CR1, SCR1 a CR2.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Seminar work

Credits Requirements: a) Active participation on courses (max. 1 absence) b) Presentations of seminar works (DOC) and their submission in MOODLE. Requirements and scope will be specified at MOODLE nad courses. Exam Requirements: Pass the test in scope of basic literature and materials on MOODLE (20 questions, min. 60% success to pass the exam).
