Course content
|
Consultations: 1. Quality, quality of product, quality of service, quality of process. Quality meaning in market environment, state policy of quality support. Reasons for interest in category of quality. Quality legislation and technical standardisation. Conformity assessment, certification, accreditation. 2. Quality management systems, approaches, policies. ISO 9001. TQM. Resort standards. 3. Specific standards (EMS, HSMS, ISMS, FSMS). Integrated management systems. Quality Management in commercial business and tourism/ agriculture. CSR (Corporate social responsibility). Economic aspects of quality. 4. Presentation of individual seminary labour.

Learning outcomes
|
The course introduces students with basic attainments from Quality Management. The basic item: Importance of quality in current business. Quality legislation. Technical standardisation and certification. Assurance of quality: ISO 9000, TQM (Total Quality Management), resort standards (HACCP, GMP/GHP; AGRO: GlobalGAP, PPH/SMR a DZES/GAEC), specific standards (EMS, HSMS, ISMS, FSMS), integrated management systems. Quality Management in commercial business and tourism/ agriculture and food production (AGRO). Corporate social responsibility. Economic aspects of quality.
Students understand the basic principles of quality and quality Management, they are able to perceive the quality as a strong competitive advantage.

|
Written examination, Seminar work
Credit requirements: Elaboration and presentation of a seminar based on consultation with the teacher. Test requirements: Passing a written test with at least 60% success.
