Topic of consultations: 1. Tourism in the global economy. Impacts of the international tourism to the economy. Assumptions of tourism development and forms of growts in the market of international tourism. Performance of international tourism and the effects of tourism on the environmental and socio-cultural environment 2. Global Code of Ethics in Tourism in terms of sustainability. Global trends in international tourism. Tourism and European Union. Global risks in international tourism. 3. International organizations in tourism. Competition od tourism destinations in the international markets, Czech Republic within the competition in the international tourism market. 4. Major world corporations in tourism. Airlines. International hotel groups.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this course is to acquaint the students with the importance of travel and tourism on the international scale. The course is based on the position and importance of the tourism industry in the global economy. It analyzes the international tourism market and evaluates the position of the Czech Republic in the European and international tourism. It studies the impact of globalization, internationalization and competition in the international tourism market, including its economic, social and environmental impacts. It presents the current performance of international tourism and points to future trends in the context of the influence of international organizations.
Students are able to explain the impacts of the processes of international travel and tourism on the environment, to analyze segments of the international travel and tourism market, and to adopt these concepts during the market opportunity searching process.
