Course content
Lectures: 1. Goal of subject, introduction to the subject and subject structure. 2. Tourist needs and ways for their meeting with the stress on tourism services (tourism, system of tourism, definition of services, basic of tourism services and their specifics, complexity and quality of services, business of tourism services) 3. History of accommodation services, characteristic of accommodation services, definition and importance of accommodation in tourism. 4. Accommodation facility as a provider of accommodation services. 5. Product of accommodation services, customer care, 6. Character and definition of catering services 7. Catering facility as a provider of catering services, typology of catering facilities. 8. History of catering services. 9. Transport in tourism, importance of transport services, characteristic and classification of transport services. 10. Services of railway transport (infrastructure of railway transport, range of transport services, transport tickets. 11. Services of air transport (infrastructure of air transport services, range of air transport services, transport tariff, rights and requirements of travellers) 12. Services of road transport (infrastructure of road transport services, range of road transport services, traffic ticket, sales and reclamation 13. Services of water transport (infrastructure of water transport, range of water transport services, cruise, shipping, travel tickets) 14. Services of other type of transport (maintain transport facilities, special transport facilities) Seminars: 1. Introduction to course. System of seminars, requirements of seminars, tasks and point system. Character of current tourism market, new type of tourism as an opportunity to tourism development. 2. Relationship of services to tourism. 3. Accommodation services (typology of accommodation facilities, infrastructure of accommodation services, new trends in accommodation, quality requirements, personal management) 4. Catering services (typology of catering services, control and quality management in catering services, personal management, new trends in catering services) 5. Transport services (Specifics of air, train, road and water transport) 6. Excursion to hotel Clarion České Budějovice.

Learning outcomes
Goal of this subject is explain the komplexity of tourism services in proces of meeting of customers needs in tourism. Students could know the technology of services which can be used in practice.
Students understand of providing of basics of tourism services and they are able to solve problems of practice of tourism services business.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of torism (subject CR1 - basics of tourism 1).

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of student's work activities (technical works), Combined exam, Seminar work

Credit Requirement: A) satisfactory assessment of individual seminar thesis written and verbal (presentation of thesis in field of tourism services), B) gain of 30 points from seminar activities and of minitests in the seminar, which verify ongoing preparation, C) participation in seminar. Exams requirement: satisfactory assessment from verbal part of exam in form of questions on the topic Tourism services.
