Course content
Lectures: 1. General concepts in the field of knowledge. Classification of goods 2. Quality of goods 3. Influence of business activities and circulation on the quality of goods 4. Packaging systems, packaging waste 5. Legislative and normative aspects of quality 6. Quality assessment of goods 7. Product safety 8. Environmentally friendly products - food 9. Environmentally friendly production - non-food 10. Fairtrade production 11. - 14. Introduction to Selected Commodities Exercises: They freely follow the lecture topics. Within the seminars, individually and team-processed semester works in the field of applied goods knowledge are presented. Excursions: Professional excursions to selected production and testing organizations in the range of 15 teaching hours.

Learning outcomes
The course introduces students with basic attainments from commodity knowledge - commodity analyses. The basic item: Goods and atributes. Commodity knowledge. Goods classification. Quality product. Quality Management. Quality meaning in market environment. Goods quality in circulation. Packaging systems. Products marking. Quality classification according to objective and subjective methods. Commodite analyse.
Students understand the basic principles of commodity knowledge.

Written examination, Seminar work

Credit Requirements: Presentation of a seminary labour and excursion attendance. Examination Requirements: A written test (60% of the success).
