Course content
|
Depending on the interest and entry level of knowledge and skills of the students, the seminars may cover the following topics: <ul> <li>Office365 (esp. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Forms, MS Teams, OneDrive), data sharing and online collaboration, DTP and presentation basics, advanced functions (macros and VBA)</li><li>Academic information sources (Ebsco Discovery Service etc.) and citations</li><li>AI (OpenAI ChatGPT, Craiyon etc.) <li>Interactive whiteboard, visualization</li><li>Gamification (learning supported by gaming principles), e.g. the issue of cybersecurity in the form of an online game</li><li>Photo and video, graphic software basics</li><li>Basics of e-learning and m-learning</li><li>Advanced functions of Internet search engines and database search for academic resources</li><li>HTML basics, programming basics</li></ul>

Learning outcomes
|
Student will get acquainted with current trends in ICT in education, gain practical experience in using selected programs and applications, including the use of the necessary hardware. The content of the course offers students the opportunity to get acquainted with various areas of ICT (Office365, cybersecurity issues, working with information sources incl. citations, AI, photo and video, DTP, presentations and graphics, e-learning, interactive whiteboards, gamification, html basics, programming basics, etc.) and according to their interest and entry level of knowledge and skills to expand and deepen their knowledge and skills.
Students are familiar with the possibilities of using modern technologies in education and can implement them in practice.

Prerequisites
|
The course assumes no initial knowledge beyond the requirements of the admission procedure. However, basic ICT literacy corresponding to the usual requirements for non-technical university students is assumed.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance assessment, Analysis of student's work activities (technical works), Interim evaluation
Active participation in the seminar (one absence is allowed, possible other absences must be compensated by elaborating tasks corresponding to the seminar curriculum), including continuous preparation and completing related seminar tasks (completion of unfinished tasks from the seminar, practice, etc.), individually as well as in groups. Participation in the seminar without adequate preparation or fulfillment of relevant tasks is considered as absence.
