- Basic principles of fundamental catechesis, their distinction and application in religious education - Catechetical activities in the Church (objectives, contents and methods) - Insight into catechetical activities of Christian churches in the Czech Republic - Educational and organizational conditions for the implementation of catechesis in selected countries and in the Czech Republic - Practical skills of group leadership in religious education of groups of children, adolescents, adults and elderly people in the church - Ability to apply basic didactic criteria in the religious education process in the church - readiness to use specific didactic methods of drama, music and visual arts in the religious education process in the church

The subject is focused on theoretical understanding of meaning of catechetical work in the church, on ability of application of basic didactical principles in catechetical work and on adopting specific methods for didactical leading of a group in catechetical work in the church.
Students are supposed to gain basic competences in these areas: Lecture: - Distinguishing basic principles of fundamental catechesis and their application in catechesis. - Understanding goals, contents and methods of basic catechetical activities in the church. Seminar: - Ability of pedagogical leading of a group within religious education of groups of children, adolescents, adults and elderly in the church. - Ability of application of basic didactical criteria in religious educational process in the church. - Readiness to use specific didactical method of dramatic, musical and pictorial art in religious educational process in the church.

|Assessment methods and criteria|
Written preparation of a seminar paper demonstrating mastery of basic didactic procedures and knowledge of specific methodological procedures and its defence in a colloquium.
