Course content
1. Old age as a spiritual task 2. Biblical examples of good age 3. Spiritual needs in old age 4. Projecting a movie Search the Wisdom of Old Age 5. Spirituality as a life source in old age 6. Negative aspects of spirituality (spirtuality and mental illness, the question of images of God) 7. Spiritual care in in residential and hospital care.

Learning outcomes
The course focuses on the spiritual aspect of man in old age. It shows old age as a developmental period with specific tasks and possibilities especially in terms of the spiritual aspect of life. Another aim is to explain and understand spiritual needs, which are important mainly in old age. The aim is also to provide students with knowledge of the current practice of spiritual care for the elderly in institutional and hospital care.
Students are able to argue in favour of unquestionable dignity from the perspective of Christian anthropology. Designate and characterize the spiritual needs of the age, including giving examples from practice. They can explain the importance of understanding their own sense of life and life context for an old man. They can give examples of positive and negative impact of spiritulity in old age. The students will be able to diskuss about the topic.

Assessment methods and criteria
Essay, Colloquium

The ESSAY, active participation in the seminar, participation in the colloquium, orientation in the study materials (presentation in English). Further information on the basis of an oral agreement.
