1, Definition of a museum and the nature of its activities 2, Educational possibilities of the museum - in the context of different types of education - in relation to school 3, Current museum educational trends in the Czech Republic and the world - Trends in museum culture - Interactivity - constructivism - experiential pedagogy - project method - problem-based learning (research-based learning) - object-based learning 4, Educational concepts and strategies of the museum 5, Objectives of museum education 6, Contents of museum education 7, Methods, forms and means of museum education 8, Creation, implementation and evaluation of the educational programme 9, Communication with visitors 10, Presentation of museum educational activities 11, Application of participation and animation in museum education

Learning outcomes
The course offers basic insight into Czech museology and the functioning of various types of museums with special respect to the necessary information equipment and needs of a museum pedagogue, as well as into the field of museum pedagogy. The goal is to understand the basic trends and forms of museum education and the technical terminology employed in it.
The student attains insight into Czech museology and the functioning of museums and understands the basic concepts and contemporary trends of museum education.
