Course content
Thematic fields: The problem of the relationship of theory and practice in applied psychology Expression as a means to form personal experience by means of symbolizing Expressiveness as a cultural context of expression and its task in personality development Questions of ontology regarding the first and the third person within the context of expression Theoretical approaches to self-conception and self-determination in psychology The relation of self-conception, personality development and self-determination within the context of expression and expressiveness The relation between Me and You in different types of dialogues with regard to expressive communication Methodology and methodics of the theoretical and experiential cognition synthesis

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to integrate the experiential preparation with the theoretical findings within the framework of the professional pedagogical preparation. This synthesis takes place on the basis of a complex understanding of the issue of expression and expressiveness. By means of the expressive activities connected with reflection, the students learn to symbolically express and generalize the personal experience and to understand it in theoretical context with using the corresponding terminology. Contentually, the course focuses on understanding and developing the self-conception and self-determination via a specific type of symbolizing personal experience. The course develops and deepens namely the personal and social, learning and methodological competences.
The student will have mastered basic knowledge of expressive education from the psychological point of view.
