Course content
1. Leisure education. 2. Pedagogical principles of leisure time. Thought movements. 3. Leisure time in educational centers. 4. Leisure time of children and youth. 5. Organization Observatorio de la Juventud in Spain. 6. Sociocultural animation: concepts, basics and practice. 7. Leisure education: new challenges. 8. Leisure education projects and alternative pedagogy in Spain. 9. Socio-cultural animation and non-formal education in free time.

Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Written action (comprehensive tests, clauses), E-learning, Work with multi-media resources (texts, internet, IT technologies)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce the student to the reading of Spanish-language professional texts in the field of leisure pedagogy and to develop his/her ability to understand and interpret foreign language materials.
Students deepens their knowledge and skills while working with Spanish written professional text in the field of leisure education.
Prerequisites
No previous knowledge beyond the standard requirements for entrance examination is required.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment

Active participation in seminars - continuous and annotated reading and translation of texts focused on leisure education, or discussion on selected professional problems. An essay on a given topic (range of at least 3 pages) and its presentation.
