Course content
1. Literary Education and Imagination (Methodological Framework) 2. Literature and the Spiritual Dimension of Humanity 3. Journey and Travel as a Literary Theme 4. Imagination in (Children's) Literature in the Modern Era 5. Suffering and Hope as Themes in Literary Education 6. On Happy Endings

Learning outcomes
The course objectives are as follows: - To develop sensitivity to literary texts and the ability to perform basic interpretation. - To familiarize students with the fundamental ways in which literature fosters creativity, imagination, and aesthetic perception. - To cultivate the skill of connecting literature with personal and social growth, as well as with reflection on values and cultural themes. - To provide examples of forms and methods of literary education at an introductory level.
The student is knowledgable in literary education.
Prerequisites
No previous knowledge beyond the standard requirements for entrance examination is required.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment

Continuous completion of assigned tasks. Preparation and presentation of an individual project: Based on a selected literary text, design a lesson for a specific age group. Describe: the lesson topic, objectives, methods and activities, and expected outcomes. Length: 3-4 standard pages. Submission deadline: November 18, 2025. The project will be presented on November 24, 2025. Oral examination: The oral exam will consist of a discussion of the submitted material. In addition to the quality of the project, the student's ability to present and situate the project within the broader context of the course content will be assessed.
