Course content
1. Introduction to the methods of scientific work 2. Formal prerequisites of a Diploma Thesis 3. Methods of efficient learning 4. Bibliography, data resources 5. Literature search concerning individual topics of the Diploma Thesis in the searched bibliography 6. Presentation of running results 7. Paper prepared by the student him/herself 8. Procedures during the defence of a Diploma Thesis 9.-12. Collective or individual consulting

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to inform students about the essential requirements and techniques necessary when elaborating a diploma thesis. A great attention will be paid primarily to directing students to an appropriate delimitation of the objective of the thesis, to the specification and methodology necessary for the elaboration of the diploma thesis. The students will also be introduced to the set of problems connected with the formal requirements of the thesis. In the course of the term, the students are supposed to elaborate a project of their diploma thesis. Analysis of the data of source publications. Definition of spheres of problem, data of empirical part of Diploma´s work.
Student specifies the theme of the work, consults separate stages of the preparation (data collection, work with bibliography), elaboration of the theoretical part of the work, analyses and elaboration of realized conclusion.
Prerequisites
Basic requirements of seminar or bachelor thesis (paper). A formal side of the seminár or bachelor thesis (paper).

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment

Active work during lectures or seminars and abstracts of required literature submitted before. The student is supposed to elaborate and hand in a project of his/her Diploma Thesis in the course of the term.
