Course content
the specifics of communication with children, childhood memories - personal and functional communication, how to reinforce relationship communication - Maslow's hierarchy of needs in practice - fulfilling the physiological needs and creation of the rules with children - the respect for a person and educational styles, reversibility - the risks of routine stereotypes - functional communication: the condition of respecting other people - motivation - internal, external, none + exercises - appreciation, punishments and rewards - non-effective methods (mistakes at communication with children) + effective methods - emphatic reaction - I-statement + solving the conflicts, feedback - revision with presentation + practice in situations - test

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The subject offers the students a way to respectful partner communication with a child based upon fulfilling the child's need in terms of Maslow's hierarchy of needs. The emphasis is laid upon the removal of stereotypes in the area of physiological needs, the creation of sensible and understandable rules and the search for accepting a child even with their specified undesirable behaviour. In this course the students become familiar with techniques of effective communication based upon respectful acceptance of a child. In mock situations the students find an effective form of communication that leads to an educational objective and at the same time the child does not feel it as an act of violence from the adult. The students consciously try to transfer the acquired skills into their own communication with others and they evaluate the acquired experience.
Student understands specifics of communication with children. He is able to define and practically recognize feelings and needs of pre-school child and he knows how to saturate them. He is theoretically able to define conditions to convert child for kindergarten. He understands need to create an area for children independency Student is able to respect a child as a partner for communication. He knows and uses methods of effective communication with children and adults. He can actively listen, shows empathy and express his needs.

Essay, Analysis of creative work (musical, visual, literary)

Essay targeted on the self-reflection of the student's dramatic experiments.
