Course content
Content of lectures: 1. Consulting and its system in the Czech Republic 2. Development, current status and developmental tendencies of pedagogical and psychological counselling. 3. Theoretical backgrounds of different counselling approaches. 4. Strategic approaches in counselling. 5. Policy of counselling work. 6. Counseling for children and young people in various stages of development. 7. Counselling for handicapped people. 8. Counseling in crisis situations. 9. Consulting work with risk clients. 10. Consulting work for managers.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with the basic areas of counselling (mainly pedagogical and psychological) and to show possible approaches and methods.
Students orient in the basic areas of counselling, they know the basic counselling theories and strategies. They can choose appropriate approaches and methods of work and are able to use them in working with individuals and groups of clients.
