Course content
Topics of lectures: 1. Social context of human life, socialization, social learning. 2. Personality in social integration. 3. Personal relationships, affiliation, attraction. 4. Social cognition- interpersonal perception, attribution processes, social schemes. 5. Attitudes, their formation and changes. 6. Social groups. 7. Social interaction- cooperation, competition, pro-social behaviour. 8. Conflict, aggression and violence. 9. Social influences, conformity and obedience, group decision-making. 10. Social communication. 11. Groups leadership. 12. Behaving strategies in demanding life situations.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
This subject provides the students basic information about the influence of social and group factors on human psyche. It introduces selected topics of social psychology in theoretical and practical form, such as social perception, interpersonal relationships, social interaction and communication, attitudes, structure and dynamics of social groups.
Basic knowledge of key topics in social psychology (the influence of society on the individual, the role of the individual within the society, interpersonal relationships) enhances the students' understanding of current society problematics, and cultivates competences in the fields of communication and cooperation, motivation, or solution of individual problems.
