Course content
Defining terms, delinquency as a broader concept of crime, clarifying terms related to juvenile delinquency. The relation of young people to moral and legal norms, criminal liability, intellectual maturity of the juvenile. Defining internal and external causes of crime, pre-delinquent behaviour and its conditionality. Clarifying basic terms of criminal law, information about an alternative punishments. Description- dissocial, asocial and antisocial behaviour and aberrant behaviour of children and young people. Vandalism of school children- possible causes, motives of unnecessary, uncultured and primitive destruction of certain values. Children and youth criminality- obvious and latent, focus on perpetrators and victims of a crime, fear of a crime, criminogenic factors, characteristic features. Justification of preventive activities focused against criminality and related phenomena. Recurrence of crime among young people, its causes and consequences on the target group. Commercial sexual child abuse- definition and forms, origins, child pornography, information about sexual education of children, child trafficking, justification of child prostitution causes (poverty, personal experience of sexual abuse in childhood, deficit in meeting the basic needs of children, family dysfunction and domestic violence, education deficit, myths and prejudices...), prevention of child prostitution.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this subject is to acquaint students with opinions on questions of causes, forms and possibilities of youth crime prevention.
Student knows the basic terms in the field of youth delinquency related to social and legal norms. He is orienting in etiology and determinants of delinquent behaviour, he acquires the knowledge of particular types of delinquency and he is able to use them in his own work- concentrating mainly on prevention.
