The aim of this seminar is to impart basic knowledge and basic skills regarding the issues of multiculturality. Emphasis will be placed on personal understanding and involvement. It is intended to improve intercultural communication skills through discussions, presentations about various cultures and subcultures, and some experiential exercises and it is expected to stimulate intercultural self-education.
The students are expected to acquire deeper understanding of situations and relations within the multicultural context. They will further improve their skills in relating to people from culturally different backgrounds: e.g., in their interpretation and approach to problem-solving in conflict situations, the feeling of commitment -along with the skills- to foster friendly multicultural environment.
