Course content
1) Subject of SP and its place within the system of sciences. 2) Social contingencies of human life, socialization, social learning. 3) Social psychology of personality - structure of personality, system of the self. 4) Social cognition - interpersonal perception, attributive processes, social schemes. 5) Social intelligence, social competence. 6) Relationships, afiliation, attractivity, love. 7) Attitudes, their formalization and changes. 8) Social groupings, minority-majority, small social groups. 9) Social interaction- cooperation, competition, prosocial behavior. 10) Aggression and violence. 11) Social influences, conformity and obedience, group decisions. 12) Social communication. 13) Group leadership. 14) Psychology of health, stress and its management, behavioral strategies in demanding situations.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The course provides its attendants with basic information about the influence of social and group factors on human psyche. It introduces to various issues of social psychology in both theory and applied form (e.g. Social perception, interpersonal relationships, social interaction and communication, attitudes, structure and dynamics of social groups).
Basic knowledge of key topics in social psychology (the influence of society on the individual, the role of the individual within the society, interpersonal relationships) enhances the students' understanding of current society problematics, and cultivates competences in the fields of communication and cooperation, motivation, or solution of individual problems.
