Course content
1. Basic finger facility in keyboard mastering. Finger exercising in range of fifth, easy melodies of the same range in C major. Good knowledge of notes c1-g1. Theory: Tones and their organisation in scales and keys, notes in a staff. 2. Keyboard: C major scale, BGS exercises, melodies in range of fifth in C and D major. Theory: Scales and the system of major keys. 3. Keyboard: Good knowledge of notes in the range of a-g2. D and E major within octave. Melodies that suite the range, BGS exercises. Theory: intervals, D and E major scales, rhythm, metre.

Learning outcomes
The subject is focused on beginners who have not got any music experience. During the first semester students will gain the basic finger skills needed for playing keyboard and learn a necessary theoretical base.
