Course content
- How to search for quality contemporary literature, children's literature awards and prize-winning books, narration as a way how to realize the reality, story composition, work with a plot - poetry as teacher's inspiration device and child's speech refinement, folk rhyme and its image in contemporary poetry, moral topics in literature, book illustration in media world, creation of an integrated complex

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to make students prepared for the work with literature while teaching preschool children, to make them familiar with methods suitable for work with literature, to teach how to distinguish between quality and rubbish literature and to be well informed about contemporary literary production for children.
To work actively with children's literature while teaching preschool children, to distinguish between good and bad literature.

Seminar work

- To read 20 books by chosen authors and to make notes out of them - Literary review of new books from children's literature world
