Course content
1. process of child's diagnostic 2. anamnesis as a method of pedagogical diagnostics 3. diagnostics of visually and auditory perception 4. inborn dispositions causes of specific learning difficulties 5. school maturity and state of readiness 6. analysis of tests a school maturity 7. inventory of behavior pre-school children 8. risk a pre-school child

Learning outcomes
Acquire the basic diagnostic skills that can be used in everyday teaching. Become acquainted with available diagnostic methods leading to recognition of the pupil (diagnostics of the behavior of pre-school children: activity, popularity among children, hygiene skills, concentration and attention, susceptibility to influence, speech disorders, content of speech, emotional stability-instability, behavior in relation to other children, displays of anger and destructiveness). Become familiar with the contents of a screening examination of children aged 5 - 8. Learn the issues of school maturity, master diagnostics for evaluation of school readiness, become acquainted with the knowledge test for pre-school children. Become familiar with diagnostic procedures leading to the detection of deficits of partial functions. Be able to see pedagogical phenomena in a situational context and in development (formulate a diagnostic question, compile available data, try to discover the causes of phenomena, process, classify and evaluate the data, consider and propose pedagogical measures.
