Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide student with theoretical knowledge and practical skills, which help him self-understand, awareness of one's own problems and dealing with them. Students will be familiarize with psychological concepts, which are concerned with search for essential questions related to human life. From particular conceptions there will be chosen topics concerning personal development and personality cultivation. At the same time, within seminars students try and learn practical approaches and techniques, which can be used within self-knowldege, development and mental hygiene.
Deepening of self-knowledge, awareness of one's relationship with the others. Deeper understanding of critic moments in human life. Ability to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in working and personal life situations.
Prerequisites
Interest in teacher's profession, independent and critical thinking, active approach to study, ability of self-reflection.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Seminar work

Active participation in classes. Students will keep diaries where they will reflect topics of lectures and experience of seminars. Seminar paper "Self-reflection in connection with chosen psychological or psychotherapeutic conception", extent of 5 pages. Continuation of reader's diary of science literature as well as fiction and films, minimally 5 records.
