Course content
1. Guidelines for bachelor's thesis working out. 2. Basic concepts, ethical principles, approaches to research. 3. Formulation of research objective, and of research problem. Research project. 4. Quantitative research. Formulation of hypotheses. 5. Qualitative research. 6. Questionnaire, interview, observation, scale. 7. Quantitative and qualitative data processing. 8. Experiment. Tests.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with preparation procedure of scientific project, basic methods suitable for data collecting, research ethics and limits of individual procedures. On the basis of practical exercises to familiarize them with processes they can use within writing of their own works, especially diploma thesis.
At the end of the course students will know: principles of basic qualitative and quantitative research methods, interpret the data, design simple qualitative and quantitative researches. Methodological knowledge and skills of students are developed through their own research survey.

Seminar work

Active participation. To work out scientific project, realization of research survey and results presentation.
