Course content
1. Explanation of terms and classification of SLD 2. Dyslexia, dysorthographia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, dysgrammatism, dysphasia, dyspraxia, dysmusia. SLD and ADD (ADHD) 3. Etiopathogenesis. Lateralization and cerebral hemispheres. 4. Diagnostic of SLD. Procedure. Description of current problems of a child. 5. Further examinations (neurological, ophthalmic, speech therapy and logopaedic). The importance and possibilities of prevention. Diagnostic screening of preschool population. 6. Cure of SLD. Principles. Organization of remedial care. 7. Special schools, special classes, integration of children with learning disabilities to common environment. 8. Legislation. Convention of children's rights (The highest interest of a child), implementing regulations

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to acquaint students with the causes, essence and re-educational possibilities in the issue of specific learning disabilities (SLD).
Student has basic knowledge of specific learning disabilities. He knows their nature, causes and care organizations. Student is familiar with the possible approaches and possibilities of correction. Student can broadly understand the problems associated with the specific learning disabilities.
