The seminar will focus on social pedagogue and social assistance for people with mental retardation. Introductory seminar will cover basic information relating to mental retardation and psychopaedia. Next it will be directed specifically to the work of a social educator (person with mental disability in family, at school, at work). More attention will be paid to the integration of people with mental disabilities and consulting.
The student is familiar with the issue of mental disability and is responsive to the needs of people with this disability. He knows the basic processes of social pedagogical work, possibilities and procedures of their education and integration. He is able to use the acquired knowledge when working with clients.
