Course content
The child and its mind: 1.-4. The development of sensory perception; imagination; memory; the preference of perception; transition from object-oriented thinking to conceptualised thinking; the connection between speech and learning. 5.-6. The development of imagination and creativity. 7.-9. The stimulation of children´s critical thinking and reasoning. 10. The child and the natural world (direct study of nature; kindergarten teaching about living things, e.g. plants and plant growing; choosing living things suitable for kindergarten teaching; educational visits; open-air practical activities). 11. The child and society (tackling moral issues; learning about culture, etc.). 12. The child and the world (multicultural education; ecology). 13. Using modern technology in kindergarten; risks involved in learning activities. 14. Learning within the intergrated education.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Projection, Work activities (workshops), Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The course is aimed at introducing students into the educational strategies of teaching learning and thinking to pre-school children within the integrated educational system. Apart from developing cognitive processes and forming the children´s general awareness of the natural and social environment, it will enable students to practise methods and techniques of individual search for answers to manifold questions concerning human coexistence and experience.
The student can implement pre-school educational strategies for the development of children´s learning, creativity and reasoning, employing the ability to improvise and to express their attitude towards various questions relating to human coexistence and experience.
