Course content
The concept of behavioural disorder therapy Classification of behavioural disorders The system of behavioural therapy institutions Legislation Prevention - principles, degrees A developmental aspect of behavioural disorders Sources and causes Diagnostics and assesssment - subjectivity as a viewpoint An overlapping interdisciplinary solution of the pupil´s/client´s case Reports on visited institutions Analysing casuistries

Learning outcomes
Students will be introduced to the basic concepts (classification of behavioural disorders; degrees of prevention; system of behavioural therapy institutions), including the legistative anchoring of behavioural disorder therapy. They should comprehend the developmental aspect of behavioural and emotional disorders, accentuating pre-school/junior school age, and when assessing situations they should acknowledge the influence of the environment and its interactions.
A solid understanding of problems; a good grasp of basic disorder categories; an informed opinion of prevention and diagnostical potentials; collaboration with other professionals.
Prerequisites
A solid understanding of special pedagogy.
