Course content
1. Principles of working out bachelor thesis. 2. Basic concepts, ethical principles, approaches to research. 3. Formulation of research targets, research problem. Research project. 4. Quantitative research. Hypotheses formulation. 5. Quantitative research. Hypotheses formulation. 6. Qualitative Research. 7. Questionnaire, interview. 8. Observation, scale. 9. Introduction to statistical analysis of research results. 10. Quantitative data processing. 11. Qualitative data processing. 12. Experiment. Tests. 13. - 14. Students' works presentation.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with preparation process of scientific project, basic methods suitable for data collection, research ethics and limits of individual approaches. On the basis of practical exercises to familiarize them with methods, which they can use within writing their own works, especially the bachelor thesis.
At the end of the course students will know: basic principles of qualitative and quantitative research methods, know how to interpret acquired data, design simple qualitative and quantitative researches. Methodological knowledge and skills of students are developed through one's own research survey.

Seminar work

Active participation. Research survey, its presentation and defense. Examination - working out research project.
